What is left of the Summer flowers in my backyard on Long Island.
my trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art over the Memorial Day weekend 2010. the art says it all.
isn’t this the coolest? the whole place was surrounded by a huge garden that felt like something out of the lord of the rings. I half expected to meet up with a hobbit as I wandered the grounds. the innkeeper was so thoughtful she surprised us with warm cookies left by our pillows for when we got home. her timing was perfect!
instead of chopping down the entire tree, you can see in the picture it was decided to leave part of it up. I’ve never seen this done before but I think it’s a great idea.
there were fresh flowers accompanying our breakfast and an affectionate pup that could neither see or hear but somehow figured out how to find the person in the group who loves dogs.
pennsbury inn, we had a great time.
forsythia on the meadowbrook parkway, westbury, ny, at suny farmingdale, and in my backyard.
